Protein 3D Structures

The structures of many proteins have been determined at the atomic level, usually by X-ray crystallography or NMR. The files containing the final structure information is usually deposited in the Protein Data Bank as .pdb files. These pdb files are freely available and anyone can download them.

The Protein Data Bank has tutorials on how to search for information. When searching with Genbank - protein database, a genbank entry you pull up will have at the left a link labelled 'links'. This pulls up a list of links for that genbank entry including papers that refer to it and any related structures.
